Prof. Jain, Wolf Prize Laureate in Physics 2025, whose groundbreaking work has deepened our understanding of the surprising properties of two-dimensional electron systems in strong magnetic fields. His research stands as a testament to the immense value of investing in fundamental science, paving the way for innovations that impact technology and our everyday lives. He addressed the seminar on -Foundations of Quantum Mechanics- organized by the Centre for Excellence in Quantum Science (CEQS) at Jaipur National University on 27 December 2023.
Prof. P C Deshmukh's distinguished career, marked by his tenure as a Professor at IIT Madras and IIT Tirupati, his visionary role as Founder-Convenor and Mentor of the Center for Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Sciences and Technologies (CAMOST) in Tirupati, his current leadership as RV Chair Professor at the Centre for Quantum Science and Technology (CQST) at RV University, Bangalore and his advisory role at the Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, demonstrates his unwavering commitment to advancing science and education.
